Happy Spring! Crocheted Felted Cala Lily Lariat Necklace Instructions

Happy Spring! Crocheted Felted Cala Lily Lariat Necklace Instructions

I think I climbed out of my creative rut today with this little cala lily necklace just in time for spring and Easter.

It was so easy to make and I did it start to finish in about an hour. You just need a sz J or K crochet hook and white, yellow, and green wool. I am partial to Lamb’s Pride worsted.

The Flowers are basically just circles that are rolled on one side over the yellow corkscrew centers. If you need a pattern they are available all over the internet.

The green leaves and stem are very easy too, you can use any leaf pattern you like. I made the stem from a single crocheted “rope” the length of my outstretched arms, almost 6′. After felting it shrinks by about 30%.

Once you have attached your flowers to the stem with a sl st put the whole thing in a lingerie bag then wash in hot water. When the buzzer goes off just pull it into shape and let dry overnight.

Happy Spring!
